I really like how the examples mentioned get student feedback throughout the course, including incorporating reflective exercises, rather than just having the standard evaluation at the end of the semester.

I can see students asking "But *you* are the professor. Why am I doing *your* job, figuring out how and why *your* content should be in the curriculum?" (This question arises with "flipped" or team-based learning approaches as well.) Would like to hear how you would respond.
