On the budget cuts, we are currently working with the colleges to implement the cuts according to the plans colleges submitted. This is the 8% scenario that we planned for (variable by college).
Jennifer Cowley

Here is the link to the updated COVID dashboard: https://healthalerts.unt.edu/return/cases
G7 Gloria Olness
27:31
The perception of low numbers may be related to the fact that these are not cumulative numbers.
Jennifer Cowley
28:06
Gloria - The updated dashboard now has the cumulative numbers in response to that comment.
G7 Gloria Olness
28:42
@Jennifer Cowley: Thanks for the clarification.
G1 Lam, Chris
29:20
Question re: COVID. What is the reasoning for not 1) updating case information daily and 2) not including running totals?
G4 Hensel, Paul
29:28
Out of curiosity, are athlete tests included in either the clinic or surveillance test results listed on the dashboard, or are they something separate?
Jennifer Cowley
29:35
We partnered with the TX Dept of Emergency Management to add another free testing site in the Union Parking Garage on Wednesdays and Saturday. Open for free to faculty, staff (plus community and students). BE SURE TO USE GROUP CODE UNT. This allows for UNT to get the positive result for contact tracing. https://www.gogettested.com/
Jennifer Cowley
30:25
Athletic testing is not included in the dashboard.
Jennifer Cowley
31:11
Chris: Running total is now in the revised dashboard. Total count since August and # of new tests per week.
G1 Lam, Chris
31:29
Thank you, Jennifer!
Jennifer Cowley
32:49
Chris: We do not report daily cases because we use mix of antigen and PCR tests. In some cases we get an antigen result and send out for confirmatory PCR test - which can result in a change of whether it is positive or negative. Because PCR takes multiple days to get back. Once a week allows for more consistent accuracy.
G9 Yeatts, Dale.
33:38
What about faculty? Any positive cases?
G1 Lam, Chris
34:16
Thanks again, Jennifer.

Thanks! President Smatresk and Provost Cowley.
G9 Stockdale Nancy
01:02:40
Feb would be good, since it will be fresh in everyone's minds.
Jennifer Cowley
01:03:24
In response to Emily's question I want to defer on that question. I don't want to provide an inaccurate answer today. Since this wasn't on the agenda I don't have this data for this meeting.
Jennifer Stevenson
01:03:59
Thank you for your support!
G8 Jennifer Lane, Senate Chair
01:04:10
Thank you Jennifer Stevenson!
Jennifer Cowley
01:06:11
Per William's announcement on COVID testing - here is the link again regarding the new additional testing option https://www.gogettested.com/
G8-Daphne Capparelli Gerling
01:06:17
For Ms. Stevenson’s survey, can we rephrase the first question to say “as well as it could” in stead of “as good as it could”? Also, as far as timing, is the goal to have the survey sent before or after FIS reviews are due in January? Nancy suggested February, which would be after. If sent before, would any changes happen before the next cycle is due?
Jennifer Cowley
01:06:59
Daphne - changes wouldn't occur until the next cycle. So your point is well taken.
G5 Daniel Peak
01:07:28
will faculty be eligible for Covid testing?
Michael McPherson; he, him, his
01:07:59
Yes, faculty and staff are eligible.
Jennifer Cowley
01:08:58
Yes - anyone in the community can sign up - this is a great option for faculty, including adjunct faculty. I'll note this is the PCR test and at the present time turnaround time is around 2 days.
Coby Condrey
01:10:06
Pre-COVID, P&T was funded by fines and sales of permits. How is it going now?
William Donovan ii
01:11:29
Parking is funded exclusively via permit sales, citation revenue, and visitor and event parking fees. Transportation side is funded through student transportation fee.
Coby Condrey
01:11:57
Thank you.
Jennifer Stevenson
01:13:56
Thank you Senator Capparelli for your questions. Yes, I'll be sure to update the first survey question. For the timing, we plan to release after reviews to provide everyone an opportunity to have the application fresh on everyone's mind. For the change, it will depend on the feedback we receive. After we collect your feedback, I plan to provide an update on the information received and our plan to address.
G8-Daphne Capparelli Gerling
01:15:46
Thanks so much for your responses Provost Cowley and Ms. Stevenson.
G5 Daniel Peak
01:27:48
will the ODA include a definition of reasonable accommodation? there is none at UNT. I use the EEOC definition
G5 Daniel Peak

G3 Jose Perez
01:32:58
having taught technical classes with large numbers of students I usually get a lot of ODA requests. In the past, I’ve been able to handle these without much effort. With these new implementations in the ODA office I find that implementing these is extremely time consuming. It seems that the burden of secretarial and administrative work is being shifted by the ODA office to the faculty. I think this is very unfair and should be undone.
G3: William Cherry
01:35:50
The automated Zoom captioning is actually pretty terrible if it is not later hand-edtied.
G3: William Cherry
01:36:36
If someone is truly hearing impaired, the un-edited automated Zoom captioning is almost useless.
G2: Erin O'Toole
01:38:41
There is a accessibility and disability course in Bridge that may answer some questions faculty have. It's an option in the required diversity training.

01:42:27
I promise I am never going to ask you to buy gift cards :) Unfortunately scammers like to create fake accounts in my name and blast them out from "me".
Guest_Tiffany Miller GSC
01:43:12
Same happened to me! My VP of Administration and Finance called me at 7AM this summer, concerned that something was wrong because she got an "emergency" email "from me" asking for $3000 in giftcards.
G4 Scott Belshaw, Vice Chair
01:44:10
I get them from my chair and Dean all the time..
G8-Daphne Capparelli Gerling
01:44:54
Dean John Richmond in College of Music was targeted like this many times too— they make fake email accounts with his name and message the faculty asking for information.
G4 Scott Belshaw, Vice Chair
01:45:40
Adam Chamberlin is sketchy.. So I get that..
G8 Jennifer Lane, Senate Chair

Those spoofed phishing e-mails that appear to be from chairs, deans, the Provost, and etc., should be forwared (as an attachment with full headers) to security@untsystem.edu. They are pretty quick to block the fake email addresses so other people don't get scamed. pretty quick

It may be helpful to re-communicate these standards to all faculty/staff each and every semester, give roll-over of faculty/staff from term to term
David Causey

We do see a lot of spoofing where the scammer knows the supervisor and request gift card payment. Please contact the PD if this happens to you.
