at our college faculty meeting in which we had more participants, the microphones could be unmuted by the individual, and all voting was done using Polls. That meeting went extremely smoothly. This meeting in all honesty and I hope you’re not offended but thus far this meeting has been in comparison a complete disaster. I suggest that you change those two modes to be the same as our college.

How do the raw budget numbers translate to percentages?

%5 budget cuts on the horizon? 10% budget cuts? What is projected range, to the best of your estimation?

Academic Affairs is taking a 5% budget reduction for fall and this translates to between 2-8% at the college level. The % is based on total SCH and growth/decline in that college over last few years. Colleges are revising draft budgets and will be sending budget proposals back to my office this month.

ONLINE courses must be CLEAR approved. Remote classes do not - but highly encourage faculty to complete the remote teaching training course in Canvas.

~800 in spring. This is expected to be around 200 for summer.

Will the university have PPE and testing available to its employees who will engage in on campus activities?

We will have PPE, but can’t supply all students all the time. Cloth masks should be available to all on campus staff. Other equipment on an as needed basis.

Testing is the major national conversation.

Right now we are trying to get the capacity…it is challenging, but by August it is anticipated that we will be able to do testing for students. We think faculty and staff will be best able to get tested with their physician using their insurance…

We don't have UNT branded masks at this point - trying to acquire them. The distribution plan is under development. The hope is we will provide every faculty/staff member with some number of masks. Stay tuned...

Jodi: Yes we have taken top international program and are advertising to students who were accepted that virtual option is available to them if they can't get their visa. Depts are addressing needs.

Linda: Academic Affairs took one time budget cuts of ~ $8M for summer. And then 5% cut for fall.

Will international students here still be required to have a certain number of face-to-face courses?
